Common Questions

Question: I’m a student.  What meetings can I go to?  Answer:  Meetings that are “open” are generally open to the public.  You’re welcome to attend any “Open” meetings on our Meeting Times page.  We ask that when visiting our groups you do not donate any money when we pass our basket.  We are self-supporting through our own contributions.

Question:  Where are Alcoholics Anonymous meetings held in McAllen, Edinburg, Mission, or Weslaco?  Answer:  Meetings are typically held in churches or buildings for which we pay rent.  We pay for the location rent from donations by our own members.

Question:  What towns are Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings held in?  Answer:  We have Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) Meetings in McAllen, Mission, Donna, Edinburg, Pharr, San Juan, Alamo, Weslaco, La Joya, and Rio Grande City.
